Immediately following our Public Inquiry on 15th January, Maidenhead MP and Home Secretary Theresa May MP came along to visit and meet the children. Having visited Prime Minister’s Questions at the Houses of Parliament last year, members of Oak Class were very pleased to have the opportunity to interview a real life MP!
We were very proud of Alex, Daniel, Dillon and Philip who interviewed her. Philip and Dillon conducted themselves with confidence and oodles of charm in showing her around the school and demonstrating the great work going on.
After one of Alex’s questions (“Did she want to be Prime Minister?”) the Home Secretary paused and commented she would make a great journalist. We think that Alex may have been taking a few lessons from Jeremy Paxman!
