As part of our forward-planning regarding the emerging situation in the UK regarding the spread of COVID-19, and in light of the government’s position to move from the ‘containment’ phase into the ‘delay’ phase of the nation’s response, we have decided that from tomorrow Friday 13th March, the School will operate a ‘core business only’ policy until further notice.
Lessons and internal activities such as sport, music, outdoor learning, performing arts will continue, but we will risk assess on a case-by-case basis all off-site trips and commitments, cancelling or postponing to later dates as we think necessary. We will also minimise the number of external visitors to the School for non-essential events and large gatherings which might precipitate the spread of any illness.
It is our very sincere hope that, by adopting a ‘core business only’ policy at the School for the last few weeks of term, we stand the best possible chance of reaching the Easter holidays in one piece with minimum disruption to the smooth running of the School. Securing the ongoing health and wellbeing of our pupils and staff is our number one priority and every decision we continue to take is with this aim in mind.
