We are delighted to announce that we outperformed similar provisions and the average of all AQA centres in the Entry Level Step Up 2 English Gold and Silver awards in January!
AQA Entry Level Certificates are nationally recognised qualifications that give students the opportunity to achieve a certified award. The assessments are designed to inspire and motivate pupils, providing appropriate stretch and challenge whilst ensuring that the assessment and texts are accessible. The specification encourages pupils to develop the skills they need to read and understand a range of texts as well as to write clearly, coherently and accurately using a range of vocabulary and sentence structures.
In English Gold our pupils achieved an average mark of 172.3 compared to similar provisions average of 136.8 and all AQA centres 147.3. In English Silver our pupils achieved an average mark of 178.8 compared to 175.1 in similar provisions and 173.3 in all AQA centres.
