We were recently visited by Alice and David from Bespoke Cycling and they ran some 2 day Bikeability courses for Goldsworthy and Brown classes. The weather wasn’t exactly on their side, but let’s look at this from a positive point of view: if you can safely ride a bike through thick muddy puddles and learn how to ride on roads with real traffic in the pouring rain, then you are prepared for all circumstances!
This was a true example of the pupils showing resilience; in fact the adults learned a thing or two from them about how to carry on uncomplainingly in the grim conditions! They went through the Thicket, all the way to Highway Avenue in Maidenhead, where their biggest test was turning right
They all passed with flying colours! The Goldsworthy group now have Level 1 badges, with the Brown group passing their Level 2.
